Top 5 Posts of 2020 for THEDULLCHANNEL

I started this blog in mid 2020 after trying out different formats and topics. Some of you might know about it. Looking back I was curious to see which posts received the most attention for some reason or another. So here we go with the top 5 posts of 2020 for thedullchannel.

5. The need to be (seen as) good on social media

Some thoughts about how people behave online. This post was inspired by the events that made me cancel my former blog project.

Also sharing the number 5 spot were My life in cameras 3b: Canon EOS 20D and Sigma AF 70-300/4-5,6 DL and a satire Elon Musk and the pig people.

4. Random Picture #4 “Gardens of the World”

Olympus E-M10: Gardens of the World

Somehow people liked the contrast between a meticously kept garden and these old socialist prefabs. I still used the “Random Picture” idea which I later dropped because most of my photographic posts are with randomly chosen pictures.

3. Caged Nature

Caged Nature: Grass trough the pavement

The third spot goes again to an image combining nature and human made urban landscapes.

2. Gratefulness and Disappointment

This was probably the most personal post of 2020 and one I rescued (and reworked) from my old blog. It is about the effects of a lost connection.

1. My life in cameras: Part 4b Olympus PEN E-P1 and M.Zuiko 17mm F2.8

Waves on the Baltic Sea (Olympus PEN EP-1 M.Zuiko 17mm F.2.8)
Waves on the Baltic Sea (2011) Olympus PEN E-P1 + M.Zuiko 17mm F2.8 F10 1/320s ISO 200

I am actually surprised that this one made it to the top of the list. There really is nothing special about it has I have written so many “my life in cameras” posts. Who knows maybe it is because I really started paying attention to SEO around the time I posted this one. But here you have it … the top post for 2020.
